Pupils value the staff's care and appreciate the highly individualised support they receive.

• Pupils value how staff care for them and appreciate how teachers help them to build their self-esteem.
• Leaders are highly ambitious for every pupil, leading to pupils being determined to make the most of their time at Bere Clinic School.
• Pupils' behaviour is excellent, with pupils being highly respectful, kind, and polite to others.

Areas to improve:

• Assessment is at an early stage of development, with staff not consistently clear about what pupils have learned and remembered over time.
• In a couple of subjects, leaders use similar curriculum planning for all pupils, which means that on occasion, pupils do not sufficiently build on prior learning.

Safeguarding: The arrangements for safeguarding are effective, with leaders maintaining safeguarding as the key priority and providing high-quality training for staff.
