SchoolsGPT is an independent, unofficial information tool. It is not operated by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Ofsted, the Department for Education, any Local Authority, any school, or any government body. School names, logos and official data referenced on this site belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the schools the data is about.

Data accuracy — please verify before relying on it

SchoolsGPT aggregates information from public official sources, including the Department for Education's Get Information About Schools (GIAS) service, Ofsted inspection data, the DfE's Explore Education Statistics service, and admissions policies published by Local Authorities. This data:

• May be out of date, incomplete, or contain errors introduced during collection or processing;
• Is not a substitute for the official source — admissions criteria, deadlines, catchment areas and qualifying scores can change, and only the school or Local Authority can confirm current, binding information;
• Must always be verified directly with the school or Local Authority before you rely on it for an admissions decision, application, or deadline.

AI-generated content

Chat answers, and the "AI summary" sections shown on some school pages, are generated by an AI language model. AI-generated content:

• Can be factually wrong, even when it sounds confident and specific;
• Is clearly labelled as AI-generated where shown, and summarises official source documents (e.g. Ofsted inspection reports) — it is not itself an official document;
• Does not constitute professional, legal, or educational advice of any kind.

Always cross-check anything important against the official source before acting on it.

Service provided "as is"

SchoolsGPT is provided free of charge, "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including as to accuracy, completeness, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. The service may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of SchoolsGPT is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site or its content — including missed deadlines, incorrect admissions decisions, or any other loss, whether direct or indirect. This does not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

Acceptable use

Please don't use SchoolsGPT to: attempt to disrupt or overload the service; scrape or bulk-extract data for republishing at scale; submit unlawful, abusive, or harmful content through chat or the contact form; or attempt to circumvent any security measure.

Your content

Messages you send through chat or the contact form are handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Please don't submit content you don't have the right to share, or that contains sensitive personal information about yourself or others.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time; the "last updated" date above will change when they do. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
