Bready Jubilee Primary School

Overview

The inspection was conducted during industrial action by teaching unions, resulting in non-cooperation from staff. Consequently, the Education and Training Inspectorate (ETI) states it is “unable to assure parents/carers... of the quality of education being provided.” The report assigns “No performance level available” for outcomes, provision, and leadership, marking the school as a “high priority for future inspection.”

Strengths

• Parents reported a “high level of satisfaction” with the school, citing a “welcoming ethos” and “regular communication.”
• Year 6 pupils were observed to be “courteous and welcoming to visitors.”
• Children spoke positively about opportunities to develop leadership skills through “playground pals” and school councils.
• Governors were described as having “complementary skills” and being “committed to the school.”
• Children reported that they “feel safe in the school” and know how to raise concerns.

Areas to improve

• The shared resource area, including the library, “needs to be reviewed” to ensure it is “more appropriate for the learning needs” of children.
• The ETI was unable to evaluate the quality of curriculum, teaching, or assessment due to staff non-cooperation.

Safeguarding

The school provided evidence that safeguarding arrangements are “satisfactory” and reflect departmental guidance, though the ETI was “unable to evaluate fully the outworking of the arrangements” due to the industrial action.
