Overview

Leaders have established a "strong culture of consistently high expectations" underpinned by a "mutually supportive and caring ethos." This environment, combined with effective teaching, ensures that many pupils make "strong progress in their learning" and feel safe within an inclusive community.

Strengths

• A "palpable" sense of belonging where most pupils feel safe, accepted, and nurtured to achieve.
• "Effective and engaging teaching" that captures interest, builds on previous learning, and encourages high aspirations.
• A "notable strength" in the provision supporting the progressive development of literacy, numeracy, Welsh, digital, and thinking skills.
• A "broad and balanced curriculum" offering a wide range of learning experiences and extra-curricular activities.
• Effective support for pupils with additional learning needs, who make good progress and are "integrated fully into the school community."

Areas to improve

• Refine improvement processes and planning to address the "few areas for further development identified in this inspection."

Safeguarding

Leaders create an "effective safeguarding culture" where most pupils feel safe and free from bullying, with staff tackling poor behaviour "sensitively and creatively."
