Check the area around this school
18th of 54 primary schools in Hillingdon we can score, 64 in total — the rest without enough published data. Local and same-phase on purpose: a national table mostly measures who attends.
Narrow the comparison to schools whose pupils have similar backgrounds and it does better still — 8.4/10 against 2,785 of them, against 7.5/10 nationally. Both figures are results only, without the inspection grade. A lower figure here means a stronger comparison group, not a weaker school.
How this is worked out
| Measure | Percentile | Weight | Adds |
|---|---|---|---|
| Expected standard (RWM) 2024/25 | 73.0 · 73 | 40% | 2.93 |
| Ofsted | 52 | 35% | 1.82 |
| Higher standard (RWM) 2024/25 | 13.0 · 78 | 25% | 1.94 |
Each measure is read as a position among comparable schools, so a school in the middle of the country scores 5. Full method.

What Ofsted said about Cranford Park Academy
Overview
Cranford Park Academy continues to be a good school, where pupils are happy, polite, and enjoy positive relationships with staff. Leaders maintain high expectations for behaviour, resulting in a calm and orderly environment, while providing an ambitious curriculum and excellent support for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
Strengths
- Pupils achieve well in mathematics and leave Reception fully prepared for Year 1.
- Staff provide excellent support for SEND pupils, who study the full curriculum with necessary adaptations.
- Leaders promote a love of reading through a diverse range of texts and a new ‘Diversity Library’.
- The school offers a wide range of opportunities for wider development, including eco-ambassador roles and community links.
- Staff workload is managed well, and leaders actively support staff well-being and high-quality training.
Areas to improve
- Leaders must ensure strong routine support for pupils who speak English as an additional language (EAL) joining part-way through their education, including staff training on the phonics programme.
- In some foundation subjects, summative assessment does not provide useful information to identify knowledge gaps, leading to time spent on activities that do not help address misconceptions with precision.
Safeguarding
The arrangements for safeguarding are effective, with a strong culture where staff understand that keeping children safe is everyone’s responsibility and act immediately on any concerns.
