Overview

The inspection highlights "excellent" attitudes to learning and behaviour, supported by "highly effective" leadership and a strong, collaborative staff team.

Strengths

• Pupils demonstrate "exemplary" interaction with adults and peers, greeting visitors with warmth.
• Staff are "highly effective at helping pupils to achieve exceptional reading and oracy skills."
• Pupils "write to a good standard" and apply "progressive digital skills" confidently.
• The school provides "effective support" tailored to individual needs for pupils with additional learning needs.

Areas to improve

• Pupils do not apply their numeracy skills often enough in other areas of learning.
• Pupils do not make sufficient progress in developing their Welsh language skills.
• Staff tend to "over-direct the learning," which inhibits pupils from developing as independent learners.

Safeguarding
