• The school has increased the number of subjects offered in the sixth form to better cater for students' needs and interests.

• The school provides dedicated lessons for personal, social, health and economic education, successfully teaching pupils about respecting difference and diversity in society.

Areas to improve:

• In a small number of subjects, the school has not identified the most important knowledge that pupils must learn, hampering pupils from building their knowledge securely based on what they already know.
• In subjects where teachers are unclear about the specific knowledge that pupils should learn, the school's systems to check on pupils' learning are not as effective as they could be.
• There are gaps in safeguarding records for pupils, which impede the oversight that the proprietor has of the effectiveness of safeguarding practices.
