Drumlins Integrated Primary School

Overview

The inspection was conducted during industrial action, with teachers refusing to cooperate. Consequently, the ETI states it is “unable to assure” parents of the quality of education provided. The report notes the school is a “high priority for future inspection with no further notice.”

Strengths

• Parents who responded to the questionnaire indicated “high levels of satisfaction” with the school.
• Year 6 children spoke positively about the “range of extra-curricular activities” and “caring and supportive teachers.”
• Student council representatives engaged “confidently” and expressed pride in their “loyalty” to the school.
• Children valued the “integrated ethos” and opportunities for leadership roles, such as “digital leaders” and eco-council members.
• Safeguarding arrangements were found to “reflect broadly the guidance” from the Department of Education.

Areas to improve

• The report does not list specific areas for improvement; instead, it states the ETI was “unable to evaluate” outcomes, provision, and leadership due to non-cooperation.
• The school must address the lack of cooperation that prevented a full assessment of educational quality.

Safeguarding

The report states that safeguarding arrangements “reflect broadly the guidance” and children feel safe, but the ETI was “unable to evaluate fully the outworking of the arrangements” due to the industrial action.
