Strengths:

• Pupils learn about diversity and feel accepted for who they are, learning to value others' views, choices and experiences.
• Pupils are confident that on rare occasions of bullying, it will be dealt with effectively, and staff are quick to address any concerns.
• Pupils achieve well across the curriculum, with teachers knowledgeable about their subjects and focusing on helping pupils to learn and remember important knowledge.
• The school provides a rich offer of wider opportunities beyond the academic curriculum, which pupils particularly enjoy.
• Staff feel very well supported by leaders, who provide regular opportunities for professional development and consider staff well-being.

Areas to improve:

• In a few instances, leaders' approaches to supporting and checking the learning of pupils, particularly those with SEND, are not followed consistently by all staff.
• Sometimes, pupils do not receive helpful guidance on what books to choose to practise their reading, and at times, they choose books that do not fully support their progression in reading.

Safeguarding: The arrangements for safeguarding are effective, with leaders having set up systems that are centred on the needs of each individual child, considering learning, attendance, and behaviour in identifying and addressing concerns about pupils' welfare.
