GRANGETOWN NURSERY SCHOOL

Overview

Grangetown Nursery School is described as a “warm, caring, and inclusive” setting where leaders foster “strong and trusting relationships” with pupils and families. The school provides an effective curriculum based on “authentic and engaging first hand experiences,” resulting in most pupils making “good progress” in key developmental areas.

Strengths

• The school offers “highly effective and engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments” that encourage exploration and creativity.
• Pupils, including those with additional learning needs and English as an additional language, make “good progress in their communication, numeracy, social and physical skills.”
• Teachers act as “effective language role models” who are “kind and compassionate” in their interactions.
• Recent leadership changes have strengthened “school improvement processes” and enabled valuable staff contributions to self-evaluation.

Areas to improve
