Leaders have developed an effective curriculum and improved attendance, though some inconsistencies remain in how knowledge is retained across all subjects.

Strengths

• Pupils display high standards of behaviour and feel safe, using a shared language to express feelings and build strong relationships with staff.
• The curriculum is well ordered from Nursery to Year 2, with a particular strength in phonics and reading, where staff provide effective support for those falling behind.
• The early years setting is happy and purposeful, with staff skilfully modelling skills and vocabulary to help children make a strong start.
• Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities are identified quickly and benefit from a well-adapted curriculum that ensures no one is left behind.
• Personal development is a significant strength, with pupils actively contributing to school improvement through councils and showing appreciation for diverse faiths and backgrounds.

Areas to improve

• Staff must make consistent and effective use of agreed strategies to help pupils remember and revisit what they have learned in every subject, as this is currently not done consistently.
