Overview: Rawdhatul Ilm Wal Huda is a friendly and welcoming Islamic faith school where pupils and staff are valued. Pupils are happy in school, display excellent behaviour, and achieve well across a wide range of subjects.

Strengths:

• Pupils are polite and well-mannered, cooperating very well with each other and being highly attentive.
• Pupils contribute exceptionally well to lessons and display very high standards of conduct during lesson changeovers and on the school grounds at breaktimes.
• The school places a strong emphasis on supporting pupils' mental health and wellbeing, providing appropriate relationships and sex education and health education.
• The school communicates well with parents and carers, providing guidance on how to support their child's learning at home.

Areas to improve:

• In one or two subjects, some teachers do not check carefully enough that pupils' learning is secure before moving them on to new learning.
• The school's systems to check how well older pupils are learning to read do not always identify where pupils have missing phonics knowledge, hindering their ability to catch up quickly with their reading.
