Overview: Redborne Upper School and Community College is a good school that provides a positive and supportive environment for its pupils. Pupils and students talk positively about attending the school, and the sense of community encourages them to behave appropriately. The school has a rigorous approach to identifying pupils' needs, particularly for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), and provides a wide range of opportunities outside the school.

• In some subjects, pupils' understanding is not routinely checked systematically, and misconceptions are not always identified accurately.
• Too many vulnerable pupils are still absent too often, which has an impact on their achievement.
