Strengths

• Behaviour is ‘exemplary’, with pupils striving to meet leaders’ high expectations and bullying incidents being rare.
• Personal development is ‘superb’, fostering values such as resilience and empathy through initiatives like ‘Rockcliffe Superpowers’.
• Early years provision is ‘Outstanding’, with children making a ‘great start’ and achieving strong outcomes through well-planned activities.
• Provision for pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is ‘excellent’, ensuring they ‘catch up and keep up’ through effective support.
• Most pupils become ‘fluent readers’ by Year 3, supported by a well-sequenced phonics programme and strong staff training.

Areas to improve

• In ‘a few foundation subjects’, pupils do not remember content as well as in other areas because the curriculum lacks regular opportunities to revisit learning.
• Leaders should continue reviewing these subjects to ensure ‘key learning is reinforced more regularly within each key stage’.

Safeguarding

The report states that ‘the arrangements for safeguarding are effective’.
