Strengths

• The curriculum is carefully sequenced, allowing pupils to “build on their prior knowledge well,” particularly in early years and reading.
• Staff are well trained and implement the curriculum with “high ambition,” ensuring pupils use subject-specific vocabulary effectively.
• The school fosters a strong sense of community and moral purpose through local events, global links, and charitable activities.
• Attendance systems have been strengthened, showing “early signs of improvement” in securing regular pupil attendance.

Areas to improve

• In some subjects, recent curriculum changes mean pupils have not yet acquired sufficient depth of learning due to “historic gaps in knowledge.”
• Some pupils do not attend school regularly, causing them to miss important curriculum content and creating further gaps in their learning.
