Areas to improve

• Monitoring of school improvement targets “does not focus sufficiently on the impact” on provision and outcomes.
• Planning for play-based learning in the foundation stage is “underdeveloped” and does not build effectively on nursery experiences.
• Governors need to provide an annual report to parents to comply with statutory regulations.

Safeguarding

The report states that safeguarding arrangements are “satisfactory” but require the positive behaviour policy to be adapted for the nursery unit and the E-safety policy to be ratified by governors.
