Overview: St Wilfrid's School is a calm, harmonious place to learn, where caring relationships exist between pupils and staff. Pupils value their learning and have very positive attitudes, contributing widely to the school. They are happy, safe and attend well.

Strengths:

• The school has developed its enrichment offer with pupils' needs firmly in mind, including residential visits and trips out of school.
• The school has exceptionally high expectations of pupils' behaviour, which they live up to, and has strong pastoral support for those who struggle.
• The personal, social and health education (PSHE) programme is wide-ranging, teaching pupils about healthy relationships, consent and respect.
• The school has a strong careers education programme, with impartial careers advice and a range of workshops and careers events.

Areas to improve:

• In some subjects, checks on pupils' knowledge are not as precise as in other areas, meaning staff do not have the most accurate information to adapt their teaching.
