Grammar schools in Canvey Island
There are no grammar schools in Canvey Island.
Grammar schools are state secondaries that select by ability, usually through an 11+ test. Essex has 4 of them, but none in Canvey Island itself — so every state secondary in Canvey Island admits without a selective test.
The nearest is Westcliff High School for Girls, about 4.2 miles away in Southend-on-Sea. Most grammar schools accept out-of-area applicants, though distance is often a tie-breaker when a school is oversubscribed.
