Grammar schools in Shaftesbury
There are no grammar schools in Shaftesbury.
Grammar schools are state secondaries that select by ability, usually through an 11+ test. Dorset and Wiltshire have 2 of them, but none in Shaftesbury itself — so every state secondary in Shaftesbury admits without a selective test.
The nearest is Bishop Wordsworth's Church of England Grammar School, about 17.5 miles away in Wiltshire. Most grammar schools accept out-of-area applicants, though distance is often a tie-breaker when a school is oversubscribed.
