Grammar schools in Tamworth
There are no grammar schools in Tamworth.
Grammar schools are state secondaries that select by ability, usually through an 11+ test. Staffordshire and Warwickshire have 5 of them, but none in Tamworth itself — so every state secondary in Tamworth admits without a selective test.
The nearest is Bishop Vesey's Grammar School, about 7.6 miles away in Birmingham. Most grammar schools accept out-of-area applicants, though distance is often a tie-breaker when a school is oversubscribed.
