Strengths

• Pupils enjoy attending school, benefiting from "positive and caring relationships" with staff who know them well.
• The curriculum is "ambitious" and tailored to individual needs, with communication being a "high priority" across all learning pathways.
• Personal development is enriched through activities like school visits, a pupil-led café, and an active student council.
• Staff expertise supports pupils to "regulate their behaviour effectively," resulting in calm, focused classrooms and positive social interactions.
• Leaders are "reflective" and prioritise staff well-being, while governance provides "purposeful support and challenge."

Areas to improve

• In a small number of subjects, curriculum pathways and subject-specific plans are not consistently aligned, affecting the school’s assurance of curriculum impact.
• Phonics teaching sometimes lacks "clear and distinct pronunciation of letter sounds," hindering some pupils’ reading progress.
