• In the school, teachers need to ‘raise their expectations of what children can do’ and use assessment information to plan lessons with ‘increased pace and challenge’ to improve literacy and numeracy attainment.
• In the nursery, practitioners should ‘improve further the quality of their observations’ to plan experiences with a clearer focus on skills.
