Eat That Frog C.I.C

Overview

Eat That Frog C.I.C continues to be a good provider, offering personalised learning programmes for young people with complex needs. The report highlights effective preparation for independence and employment, though it notes that the curriculum does not yet fully prepare all learners for the next phase of their training.

Strengths

• Learners participate well in "personalised learning programmes" that effectively build skills, confidence, and resilience.
• Innovative partnerships, such as overseas travel via The Turing Scheme, provide unique opportunities for learners to develop independence and work skills.
• Learners are encouraged to "advocate for themselves," influencing decisions on activities like sport and music.
• Leaders use local employment needs to design individual learning packages, resulting in some learners progressing to further education.
• Directors support leaders effectively, monitoring improvement plans and prioritising staff recruitment and training.

Areas to improve

• Leaders must revise training for teachers, particularly new staff, to equip them with the skills to teach learners with complex needs.
• Leaders must increase opportunities for work experience and vocational learning aligned with individual planned outcomes.
• Leaders should review the curriculum structure to clearly link learning to EHC plan goals and aspirations for independent living.
