Evergreen

Overview: Evergreen is a small, independent residential special school for pupils aged 7-16 with special educational needs and/or disabilities. The school provides a nurturing environment where pupils develop strong relationships with staff and feel safe and secure. Pupils make excellent progress in recognising and managing their own behaviour, and the school has high expectations of their learning.

Areas to improve:

• The school needs to identify important curriculum vocabulary in some subjects, which would help pupils with speech and language needs to secure new knowledge or build on prior knowledge well enough.
