Overview: The school does not meet all of the independent school standards that were checked during this inspection. The school has relocated to a new site, which is subject to a material change inspection, and there were no pupils on site or on the school roll during the inspection.

Strengths:

• The proprietor has ensured that a suitable assessment framework is in place to assess pupils' work regularly and thoroughly.
• Leaders have developed a rolling six-week thematic carousel of learning, which covers all required aspects of learning, to support the in-year arrivals of pupils.
• The school meets the requirements of schedule 10 of the Equality Act 2010, with a suitable accessibility plan in place.
• The proprietor has ensured that the new building has been organised to provide suitable facilities for the proposed number of pupils.
• The dedicated medical room is close to toilets which are for the sole use of pupils, lockable from the inside and also provide washing and showering facilities.

Areas to improve:

• The school does not meet the standards for the quality of education provided, specifically in relation to the curriculum and teaching.
• The school is unlikely to meet the relevant independent school standards if the material change related to the school provision is implemented.
• There is limited on-site provision for physical education, with some games and physical activities woven into current schemes of work, but these do not offer the opportunity for pupils to develop their skills and knowledge of a suitable range of sporting activities.

Safeguarding: The proprietor has ensured that the school's safeguarding policy meets all requirements and it is published on the school's website. Leaders are well informed about the types of safeguarding vulnerabilities and risks for their pupils.
