Overview: Greenfields Community Primary School is a good school where pupils know the school values and feel safe. The school is a happy and caring community where staff know pupils well and adapt their teaching to meet individual needs.

Strengths:

• Pupils know the school values of 'Be amazed, be brave, be original, be bold' and the difference they make.
• Staff know all pupils well and adapt their teaching to meet pupils' individual needs.
• Pupils have a very positive attitude towards mathematics and enjoy learning in the forest school.
• Pupils' personal development is strong, with a focus on keeping themselves healthy and participating in sports festivals and competitions.
• The governing body makes sure that it carries out all its responsibilities and has effective systems to check and evaluate all aspects of the school.

Areas to improve:

• The spelling content in the English curriculum is not structured well enough, and some pupils do not link their phonics knowledge to spellings.
• The individual plans for some pupils with SEND are not specific enough, making it difficult for pupils and their parents and carers to understand when pupils are making progress.

Safeguarding: The arrangements for safeguarding are effective, with leaders ensuring that all staff are trained to identify pupils who are at risk of harm and a clear process in place to report any concerns.
