• Staff are experienced in their vocational sectors and successfully support learners to "develop their confidence" and build friendships through social activities.
• The curriculum includes effective use of "discovery suites" to help learners regulate emotions and practical vocational areas like the small animal care centre.
• Teachers develop English and mathematics skills well through practical application, and learners "achieve well" in these qualifications.
• Trustees provide "effective scrutiny and challenge" and have high levels of expertise in key areas such as safeguarding and finance.

Areas to improve

• Ensure support staff allow learners "sufficient time to answer questions and process information" before intervening.
• Provide earlier careers advice and guidance so learners are not unsure about "realistic career opportunities."
• Ensure a higher proportion of learners actively participate in the range of extra-curricular activities offered.
