• Questionnaire responses indicated parents were satisfied that their children “make good progress and enjoy learning at school.”

• Year 7 children met with inspectors “read with fluency, expression and an appropriate level of understanding of the text.”
• The leadership team set out a “clear vision and high expectations for promoting respectful behaviours.”
• Governors use their skills to “support and challenge the school to meet the needs of the children.”

Areas to improve

• The report states the ETI was “unable to evaluate fully” outcomes for learners, quality of provision, and leadership and management.
• Systems for monitoring progress “should be built on further to make a clearer link between the actions taken and the impact on children’s learning.”

Safeguarding

The school provided evidence that safeguarding arrangements “reflect broadly the guidance from the Department of Education,” though the ETI was unable to fully evaluate their outworking due to the industrial action.
