• The school provides a wide range of opportunities for pupils to learn and grow, including visits to a nature reserve and a theatre.
• Pupils with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well supported, with staff adapting activities to enable them to access the same curriculum as their peers.
• The provision for pupils' wider development is exceptional, with pupils learning about healthy relationships, kindness, and democracy.
• Staff feel supported with their workload and well-being, and appreciate the initiatives introduced by leaders to lessen workload demands.

Areas to improve:

• In Years 1 and 2, the essential knowledge that pupils need to learn is not as clearly defined in a couple of subjects, meaning that teaching does not always focus sharply on the most important knowledge pupils need to know and remember.
• In a small number of key stage 1 classrooms, pupils sometimes find it hard to stay well focused on their learning.

Safeguarding: The arrangements for safeguarding are effective, with leaders training staff to understand their responsibilities to keep pupils safe, and governors carrying out their statutory duties effectively.
