Areas to improve:

• The curriculum is not taught as well as intended in some subjects, leading to pupils not learning important knowledge as completely or as securely as they should.
• The curriculum for pupils in Year 7 does not identify the knowledge that pupils need to learn, making it difficult for staff to ensure that pupils build sufficient new knowledge.
• Some aspects of the school's programme for pupils' personal development are underdeveloped, particularly in relation to other faiths and cultures.
