Areas to improve

• Leaders must ensure work to address barriers to attendance for disadvantaged pupils and those with SEND is applied “robustly and consistently,” as persistent absence is currently hindering progress.
• Actions to address pupils’ persistent absence were “not introduced promptly enough.”

Safeguarding

The arrangements for safeguarding are effective, with “highly robust systems” ensuring a strong culture where staff are “highly vigilant” and pupils feel confident seeking support.
