Strengths:

• The school has established a new board of governors with relevant expertise and experience.
• The proprietor, together with leaders, has strengthened the oversight of the quality of education that the school provides.
• The school has a suitable safeguarding policy that takes into account statutory guidance.
• The school has made small improvements to the ways in which pupils learn about some of the protected characteristics.
• The school has a suitable curriculum policy in place and has sought external support to help leaders put in place suitable curriculum plans and schemes of work.

Areas to improve:

• The school does not meet the standards relating to the quality of education provided, particularly in terms of the curriculum and the teaching of protected characteristics.
• The school does not meet the standards relating to the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of pupils, particularly in terms of the teaching of protected characteristics.
• The school does not meet the standards relating to the quality of leadership and management, particularly in terms of the proprietor's ability to ensure that the independent school standards are met consistently.

Safeguarding: The school has a suitable safeguarding policy that takes into account statutory guidance, and staff have the training they need to identify pupils who may be at risk of harm.
