Beis Ruchel Girls School

Overview

The inspection concludes that the school “does not meet all of the independent school standards that were checked during this inspection.” Inspectors found that the school has “not made any changes to the provision” since the previous inspection in September 2024, leaving several statutory requirements unmet. The report highlights a failure to address previously identified deficiencies in the curriculum and leadership.

Strengths

• Leaders “promote a strong culture of safeguarding” with effective systems to keep pupils safe.
• The safeguarding policy “reflects the current statutory guidance” and is available in paper form.
• Staff receive training that helps them understand procedures for “identifying and reporting concerns.”
• Pupils “feel confident that staff would take swift action if they shared a concern with them.”
• There is no evidence to suggest pupils are not offered a “balanced presentation of political views.”

Areas to improve

• The school must ensure the curriculum teaches pupils about the full range of “protected characteristics as set out in the Equality Act 2010,” including sexual orientation and gender reassignment.
• Leaders must provide an “age-appropriate relationships and sex education (RSE) and health education curriculum” to meet statutory duties.
• The proprietor must implement actions to meet standards regarding leadership knowledge and skills, as the school has “failed to carry out any of the actions in its action plan.”

Safeguarding

The report states that safeguarding arrangements are effective, with staff trained to identify concerns and pupils feeling confident in reporting them.
