Leaders have successfully merged two schools into a "safe and nurturing learning community" where pupils feel valued, despite challenges with high staff turnover. Areas to improve

• The curriculum does not always offer a "wide enough range of learning experiences," with infrequent opportunities for physical education and expressive arts.
• Teaching does not ensure pupils develop Welsh language skills "progressively" as they move through school.
• Provision for younger pupils does not always match their developmental needs, while teaching for older pupils does not always provide sufficient challenge.
